Its not so long ago south Sudan was celebrating its Independence, i-bites warned this would not solve any problems for the people of the region, rather it would cement the area into conflict for resources. . The Anglo sphere seeks political and economic unity in the form of merging blocks, Africa however is encouraged to become smaller dictatorships preoccupied with in fighting.
While the UN celebrated South Sudan’s independence, bloggers writers and political activists from all over the world saw it as a calamity.
We should always warn against any call for nationalistic solutions as it is forbidden in Islam
It is narrated by Abu Dawud that the Messenger of Allah (saws) said,
“He is not one of us who calls for ‘asabiyyah, (nationalism) or who fights for ‘asabiyyah or who dies for ‘asabiyyah.”
And in another hadith, the Messenger of Allah (saws) referring to nationalism, racism, and patriotism said
“Leave it, it is rotten“.
