American Independence day is mark of hypocrisy
Independence Day, commonly known as the Fourth of July, is a federal holiday in the United States commemorating the adoption of the Declaration of Independence on July 4, 1776, declaring independence from the Kingdom of Great Britain.
During the American Revolution, the legal separation of the Thirteen Colonies from Great Britain occurred on July 2, 1776, when the Second Continental Congress voted to approve a resolution of independence that had been proposed in June by Richard Henry Lee of Virginia declaring the United States independent from Great Britain
Since the USA ventured out in world war 2 it has been involved in supporting and maintaining the current situation in many tyrannical regimes, Supporting both Saddam’s rule in Iraq to the likes of Hosni Mubarak in Egypt. With the current war on terror the USA’s war machine has been fully behind rendition , black sites, torture and Camp Guantanamo.
It has remained silent over the thousands of tortured Islamic political activists seeking to account the tyrannical governments of their time.
For a nation which claims a struggle with foreign colonialism it’s foreign policy has been one of hypocrisy. Utilizing The UN, IMF and various other institutions as tools to either support their agenda or block an agenda which doesn’t suit the American interest.
